Frequently Asked Questions

Yes — across all three plans. Prima does not offer third-party or third-party fire and theft options. Every policyholder automatically receives fully comprehensive cover including protection for their own vehicle, third-party property, and personal injury.

No. Glass claims made through a Prima-approved auto glass specialist on the Plus or Premier plans do not affect your no-claims bonus. You pay only the applicable excess (£25 for repairs, £115 for full replacement) and your record remains clean.

Your Prima policy covers you in your own insured vehicle only, unless your policy schedule specifically includes driving other cars (DOC) cover. DOC cover is not standard on all Prima plans — check your individual policy document or contact Prima directly to clarify.

Prima operates a 24/7 claims helpline. After any accident, theft, or damage event, you call Prima’s claims team who will arrange an assessment with an approved repairer and, where applicable, a courtesy car. The claims process is designed to be straightforward — you do not need to source your own repairer or negotiate repair costs directly.

Yes. Motor legal cover, RAC breakdown assistance, and a courtesy car upgrade are all available as optional add-ons on the Essential and Plus plans. On the Premier plan, motor legal cover and RAC breakdown cover are already included as standard.

Contact Prima’s claims team using the emergency contact number on your policy schedule. Prima’s cover applies automatically in all EU countries, Norway, Switzerland, Iceland, Serbia, Andorra, and Bosnia. Outside these countries, you will need to check your policy for specific provisions.
